Nope, what? Little to short answer from a serious company.
I completely agree with you. It’s 2024 and OLED is one of the best screens in my opinion. LDC is mostly used in gameboys from alibaba.
Get a Computer if you want a bigger screen?
I’m very very happy with the display Of original and mini trackers. Please don’t change it. It’s… different.
My 2c…Never once did I ever even think “I wish the screen was better”, on any of my Polyend stuff. It’s not a gaming console or TV.
It’s more than fine for what it is and what its purpose is. I’d much rather not have them have to up the cost of products because of needless aesthetics like this, something that doesn’t really matter as much, as it’s a musical instrument. It just needs to convey the info it needs to convey. I was actually struck by how beautiful the Synth screen is, the first time I switched it on.
To me it’s like fussing over a gazillion pixel fancy retina display on a laptop that you’re solely using to make music with. I’d assume most people would rather a) not have that inflate the price or b) rather spend that budget elsewhere on the device, related to the function of the device ![]()
Agreed, this just isn’t a significant issue IMO.
The display on my Play is high contrast and looks quite good.
The other issue that nobody seems to note is the limited lifespan and burn-in of OLED tech. These issues have not been eliminated.
I’d rather have a bit lower contrast on a display that will last many years.
This is exactly the issue, which Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or has, so each time the screen burn out, you have to buy their 50 € replacement kit <3 A very sustainable Business model <3
