When song is saved, a "new" instance of that song file gets created somewhere, but is invisible to the Step OS

Bug Description

When I make a change to a song ( add a pattern, change some sequencing, ect), changes don’t save, but appear to possibly save as a new version of the file - viewable on the SD card (with the same “slot” number, but different filename (???), so the Step does not see it as a “song” file- I guess it just goes with the first one in that “number slot”, and I am unable to retrieve the edited version of the song. If I choose "save & rename ( the only option- there is no exclusively) - file seems to save in an open slot- or another of that same slot, and is not viewable on the device. I HOPE this is just a but that will get fixed. This one is just entirely too random for me to figure out what it’s doing. Hoping that a fix may involves to be able to Refresh view of the list maybe?

I’m guessing this is a bi-product of you renaming your songs on your PC separately. If so then I suggest we close this bug and focus more on what was causing your issues in your original bug.

However if it’s still relevant please continue. I for one am not able to reproduce this and have the impression it’s relevant to the issues caused by your initial report.

Would love to have an update on this. Please give an update if you can within the next 2 weeks. Merci beaucoup!

yes- let’s close this and please respond to other related bugs. THese seem to be related. Thanks for looking at this!
