What is the problem?
When playing with polyrhythmic compositions, options for variations are too shallow, even though they could be even more powerful and flexible than patterns.
What do you want to achieve?
It would be great to have different options stored for each of a variation. Player could easily make use of longer (or odd!) sequences of the same track for some parts of his or her tracks, switching back in forth within a pattern and then copying it further with all the pre-made variations altogether, allowing to improvise in any part of your composition. Switching from default to swingy mood without any encoders in the middle of your play could be handy too.
Are there any workarounds?
Storing such settings in different patterns, I guess? But it won’t allow such a flexible improvisations.
