You can keep the old firmwares on the card if you want to, but you don’t have to.
In order to apply updates, you have to:
Navigate through the ‘System Settings’ and ‘Firmware’ menus. Open
the ‘Firmware Update’ function, highlight the firmware version to install.

But would it help the synth performance, readings on startup if you only got 1 firmware files and not all the old ones too ?
Could make it like Empress Effects ZOIA.
They have an option in the setup menu to hide firmware files if needed.
Firmwares are written to board. So it doesn’t matter how many you have. It’s just stored there. ![]()
It only matters during emergency flashing, because then it grabs a random firmware from the folder.
