Unexpected Chord Sequencer Behaviour

If you set the grid for a synth to play chords and you record steps in the step sequencer, I was expecting the synth to playback the chords. But it does not. It only play the notes. That’s not what I was expecting.

Is it a missing feature or is it intentional?

Thanks

All the chord modes currently don’t play back the “chords” via MIDI.
I assume this is intentional. It will send out the correct MIDI Notes when recording the data to an external device though.

The same is true for Arp / Seq. It will send out all the information via MIDI, but if you want to trigger them from externally, you’ll just have to send the base note instead.

I am not talking about midi but about the internal sequencer. I might have done something wrong.

Oh! I think i see what you mean.
You meant the internal sequencer, so that you could use chor mode to record chords into it?

Exactly. But it actually records the chords if you set the mode to chord.
But the other synths that are set in follower mode are not following the recorded chord changes. Only works when you live play.

Aha, thanks for clariying.
I think this is currently expected behaviour, but maybe @Mitch can clarify.

Yes this is the expected behavior. Followers will not follow chords in a sequence from the internal sequencer. We could add this in a firmware update but it is not a trivial addition so I think it would make a good wish.

Here is the link to the wish: Synth followers should follow chord changes recorded in the internal sequencer
