I’m trying to update the firmware on my Poly 2 to 3.2 but I get an error everytime saying that I need to reset the SD card.
There is no SD card on the unit I’m stuck.
I’ve tried on Windows and Mac.
Windows gives error Mac doesn’t even find the Poly 2
Hi there @dfiorucci and welcome to Backstage. Great to have you here
Wish I could help but I don’t have a Poly 2. That is indeed a very strange error.
I’ll still ask the basic questions. Did you try with a different USB cable, and did you try with another USB port on your Windows system?
Yes tried all of the usual suspects different USB cables and different ports on both the windows and mac computers.
I even looked for a previous version of Poly Tool but was unable to find an older version.
I created a ticket hopefully they will be able to figure this out.
Thanks for the quick response.
If you still require help. I’ve got a Poly 2 (that is updated), that i could try and see if i can reproduce it.
Hi Sandroid,
Yes still no answer from tech support on this.
Too bad they have seemed to abandoned support for this as I can think of some great software improvements after only a couple weeks of using it.
Would you happen to have a previous version of the Poly Tool
I’m thinking that might be the issue
I tried Way Back but there was nothing there
I’ve got this one and that worked for me, the last time i updated the Poly 2.
Let’s see if it helps you
Polyend_Tool_v1.2_MSwin.zip (113.4 KB)
Thanks for the file Sandroid but still didn’t work.
I think there is something wrong with the reset button because it never goes into updating the firmware.
Think I’ll replace the switch
Thanks Again
Tested the switch and it’s fine so it must be something else going on in the circuit.
