What is the problem?
I work with found sound mostly and the my sample pool fills up with just a handful of files.
What should this feature achieve?
More hands on control of my sound without trimming and preparing files in the computer because the Play+ memory is so small. I wish to load up my recordings and trim the audio as needed in the play.
I have no need to load hundreds of kicks, just longer files for pure experimentation for the type of music and soundscapes I make
Are there any workarounds?
A very clever feature in the Circuit Rhythm is that you can trim the longer samples to the section you want and the file itself gets smaller, the sample pool space is managed cleverly.
So a good feature would be a dialog in the “load sample” screen, and before loading a sample, there could be a “trim” option that way I could load just the sections I want and the sample pool wouldn’t have to be bigger.
Of course the best would be disk streaming and the all this could be moot, I could use my samples whatever way I would want.

I searched but nothing really related to my request

Circuit Rhythm for its sample/file trimming.
And the Sp404mk2 for its massive sample pool.
The Play’s sequencer is perfection. Just this feature would make it the endgame hardware for me.
