Transferring WAV files from iOS device directly to a Tracker Mini

Hello,

I’m creating samples on my iPhone/iPad and would like to simplify the process of transferring them to my Tracker Mini.

Transferring the WAV file directly from my iPhone/iPad via USB to the Tracker Mini’s SD Card would be idea but I’ve been unable to get this to work hence left with transferring via audio or a PC.

Anyone know if this is possible and if so how it is done? :+1:

Hey @ukpdb111, welcome to backstage!

You mean using USB Storage mode didn’t work?
Or are you maybe unaware of that functionality?

Let me know, so that i can help you :hugs:

Hello and thank you.

I am familiar with the Tracker Mini’s USB storage mode which works fine with my Windows laptop however not with my iPad/iPhone.

To connect the Tracker Mini to my iPhone and iPad I’m using the supplied USB cable into an Apple Camera Connection kit, I put the Tracker Mini into USB Storage mode but it is not recognised in iOS.

Note my iPad is a Mini 5 and the phone an iPhone 13 both using lightning.

Thank you :+1:

Ah i see.. yeah lightning is a bit fickle. Newer devices with USB-C work without issues.
Is it the powered Connection Kit? I’ve heard the unpowered CCK seems to work better.

Thank you for the link to the other thread, lots of interesting info on there to go through.

FYI I’m using an unpowered CCK and I’ve also tried powered, I’ll give it a try with a friends USB C iPhone to see what happens.

An update to the above, to confirm connecting my Tracker Mini to an iPhone 13 with lightning I could not browse the Tracker Minis SD Card from the iPhone’s Files app. Tested on an iPhone 16 with USB C and could browse to the Tracker Minis SD Card.

Time to update my iPhone.
