I appreciate the official compilations being made available. A quick question though, will this also be the official method of getting the Polyend-approved firmwares or will they still be made available via the downloads portal on our Polyend accounts?

Much thanks for the features and fabulous work with these bug fixes :sign_of_the_horns:

I put the pti on my firmware folder of my mini. I press firmware update, want to flash … yes … then nothing happens. I can’t select a version. any idea

  • Did you put the file in the /Firmware folder?
  • What version are you currently on?

I’ve just reflashed my Mini to make sure it works correctly. If you got a quick video, i’m more than happy to help.

I’ve update my mini and worked perfect.

Same here! Updated, so far so good. Everything seems to work as it should be on the Mini!
Unfortunately my reported bug is still there. Hopefully that will be resolved at some point. But hey, we can’t have everything at once

Added all the stuff from the provided zip, works perfectly!

This is within Polyend email together with the new firmware announcement:

One more thing for the OG Tracker fans. We just finished taking inventory in our warehouse and found a stash of gear that might interest anyone who’s been looking to get their hands on an original Tracker. We’ll have a little surprise for you soon.
Stay tuned!

Sorry if o d9nt understand it very well but how all of this firmwares works?

If I install a custom firmware like yours for example I override the original. If someone makes something cool and I want to install it I override the drum machine firmware so I lost that machine and I guess things that I’ve done with it in some projects. Is this correct?

If it is correct it would be cool a firmware that let you select install the things you want for your tracker that people have done.

I don’t know, I’m new to this. Thanks.

It suddenly worked, removed it a couple of times from the sd and back on and it came up, thank you all

This is truly amazing! Thank you so much folks :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Installed the original tracker firmware on the original tracker. Loaded a project that I played live this weekend without any issues and when i hit play the tracker starts to chug completely like a pc with more plugins than it can handle. with the classic cpu underrun sound. just completely unplayable. If i muted the pads and longer loops it was a lot better. went back to 1.9.2 and again it plays without issue.

i installed the one in releases called “PolyendTracker_CE_1.0.0.ptf”

I am interested only in official, vetted, firmware for my Trackers (own all three versions). Is the Tracker Community Edition 1.0 such a release? Does the release of this firmware signal the end of development and support of official firmwares for the Tracker series by Polyend?

Will future partial and dot build community firmware versions released only after careful getting for stability and safety so that installing them won’t brick my devices? Will there be editions identified for which no vibe-coding has been done to prompt the firmware? Vibe-coders prompt; they do no “make,” “create,” or “build.”

Thank You! Great news!

But, one question, does all this mean that the tracker will become a legacy product and will no longer be produced?

care to share the project with me? I’ll gladly have a look. might be an issue with sd streaming. feel free to DM me.

Best of luck with that lol

I’m a bit confused with this and apologies if it’s answered upthread, but is is this the end of firmware development from Polyend and it all being outsourced to “the community”. Or is there going to be an “official” and “community” stream? I’m slightly surprised that the initial open source version wasn’t Polyend point update tbh.

Honestly, I’m not really excited by the idea of trying to keep track of a whole bunch of updates or competing firmware versions. Like are canonical versions going to be administered and distributed through this board or a discord or something?

But I am extremely happy to see play though sample mode has been implemented so that’s enough for me to install right now. But probably would like some more information before I commit enough to start opening up / overwriting all my projects.

Hi! Very cool update! I can’t wait to see what could be built, considering cool stuff appeared from FM1 custom firmware craze or or EP133 reverse engineering.

I already flashed it and ported gruvbox theme to it. It was very easy, although screen quality makes it weird from some angles.

I also started a standard GitHub awesome list – GitHub - brachkow/awesome-polyend-tracker: A list of resources for the Polyend Tracker · GitHub. Feel free to add your stuff there. Just make sure it is easy to understand what your tool/effect/whatever does.

I know this entails a great responsibility for the Polyend team, but at the same time, it brings you closer to your community. You have raised the bar once again.

Thank you @Sandroid for being the driving force behind this significant step for Polyend.

Would love it this way. Build your own firmware a la Ornament and Crime etc.
