Long time Tracker user here and I consider to get the Tracker Plus.
I do a lot of live performances with my Tracker and have a question regarding the way audio over usb works. When one is recording tracks via usb audio while using the “performance mode” how are the effects applied to the audio stream via usb?
Thanks
I’ve only experimented with USB audio but I want to say I saw a stereo track that was just the effects, like a return track. I know CH 1 and 2 are the main output, which confused me at first.
I’m not talking about the delay and reverb effect tracks. As far as I understand the tracker sends all tracks + main + FX-send over USB. However I want to know how things are routed and record when using Performance Mode. I also asked at Polyend tracker Discord server but also no luck. Nobody into recording output?

Really? Nobody here is recording a performance? Would great to get some feedback about this.
HI! I didn’t know you could record audio with the USB.How come? where do you connect it and how?
Hey there! Sorry for the late reply and not seeing the question in the Discord either..
But hey, welcome to Backstage!
Without further ado, here’s the tea
:
Anything you play in Performance mode will be reflected in the individual USB audio channels that are affected by it. So yes, you can record the performance and then work with the individual tracks/channels afterwards.
One thing to note. Performance Mode still affects only the steps of the first 8 channels, so you’ll have to plan your tracks accordingly. There are some exceptions though, since there are Synth Engine specific performance effects. They don’t care which channel you put them on. Unless you want to affect their steps.
Hope that helps. If you got any other questions, let me know!
