Tracker plus note drone

I just got a tracker plus and updated it to the latest firmware and have noticed some notes bleed and drone/hang after playing, using the 4 built in synth engines

i’m very overwhelmed

im on the spectrum and confuse easily can someone walk me through step by step how to fix this, i feel like a just bought a paperweight

Hey @lukemakesweirdmusic, welcome to Backstage! :hugs:

This sounds to me like you might be missing a OFF, FAD or CUT step message after some notes are being played?

  • OFF = Will act as ‘Note-Off’ and trigger the release phase of the envelope to reduce the sound.
  • FAD = Will gradually reduce the audio sound and fade it out. Also will turn MIDI Notes off.
  • CUT = Will immediately stop the audio sound. Also will turn MIDI Notes off.

Let me know if that helped.

If not, i would appreciate a quick video of what is happening or a more detailed description, so we know what we are dealing with here

Where can i find these commands/ please walk me through how do find these functions as i had asked in my post for clarity

also i cannot get perc and a synth engine to work at the same time

i fear that i bought a paperweight

In Rec/Edit mode, move to the Note column and turn the jog wheel all the way to the left.

Apologies if i wasn’t clear enough. Would a video walkthrough be helpful for you?

As writing this all out would be extremely time consuming and probably harder to follow than a short video.

Let me know what you prefer.

Hey Luke.

It’s a simple setup for note off. Assuming your tracker scrolls vertically (default).

The note line is say line 1. You want it to be off (or fade out) after line 4.

Go to line 4 with cursor. Press the note button if not already on the note column.

Press record if not in ‘red’ record mode.

Rotate jog wheel fast left (anti clockwise). Note ends up as ‘off’. AFTER that, turn one click right for ‘fade’ and another for ‘cut’.

Simples.

It’s not an overwhelming device, but give yourself time to get used to it.
