Thanks for your report. It seems to be related to something i reported a few months back :
Love that I’m still getting updates on my OG Tracker. Thank you
Hi, I found a bug in the fill function: [beta bug] Fill is duplicating sharp notes
Didn’t find how to choose the beta bug category… Please let us know if you can reproduce.
Edit: not a bug!
This is awesome thank you.
Thanks a lot! Awesome to get updates on the OG tracker!
Respect.
shift + play doesn’t seem to be looping a selected area. Anyone else managed it ?
Works perfectly for me - select track sections.
I might be highlighting all tracks - try that and test it out again
Then - Shift play.
it’s cool just doing random fx fills on one short track section where there is something playing that I like. I’m liking random retrig plus chance over a like 7-8 steps. Then render short section - load render on another track and start again with different track fxs, like 3/4/5 steps with random bmp, super slow bmp or sample position.
Works perfectly for me ![]()
I’ll give it another pop!
Seems track one must be selected first and then go from there
Yes, exactly, make your selection and then hit shift + play
I have a question: do you think that it could be useful and doable to keep the selection visible while looping, for example with a lower opacity or something? Does it make sense? I mean, we can see/guess where it is looping but if the selection is on multiple tracks, keeping a clear indication of the selection might feel better.
More a fun surprise than a bug: my unit let’s me low-quality import 240 seconds of audio at a time. It is quite handy with the anit-alias off, and really gets crispy. Previously, I would export said file and repeat the low-q import which would give me 480 seconds of muddy crust material. Low-Fi indeed, thanks!
Great news thanks for sharing. I noticed larger import also.
As well as the tracker is kinda optimised and quicker overall with memory/ram.
One other bug for low fi sounds - sorry if this has already been mentioned elsewhere - is deleting the current sample looping and pattern is in play record mode.
There will be a short buffer sound playing, sometimes it a random sample memory shred other times just a degraded tThetu fragment loop can be tuned. Plus some track effects will affect the loop.
Before deleting the sample :
I noted that also. While testing the beta I keep a recorder running in case a glitch is musically useful
.
Before deleting the sample : turn on the filter.
That way when you turn it back on again and use the filter.
Use the loop to ping the delay, also use the bit reduction
i think think this would be useful.
couple of things ive noticed:
- When looping the selected part of a patter with shift+play , if you then go to instrument parameters it ends the loop cycle which is unfortunate as its here you may want to change tuning etc and make adjustments.
- I have noticed the samples load time has increased. Samples that i have had in previous projects now take a lot longer to add to the sample pool.
I had this happen to me as well! I was using the Anniversary theme, and i thought it might be that, but I switched it to the default and the notes still wouldn’t show up! I had to turn it on and off again, which fixed it. Seems to happen only in the Anniversary mode for me at least.
Very cool that you continue to update the OG Tracker. Thank you Polyend
