Tracker Mini crashes/freezes less than a minute after booting. Crash seems to be unavoidable as it happens whether or not the device is doing anything (playback or otherwise). SD card has only the stock content from the Polyend site.
Reproduction Steps
Turn on Tracker Mini
Wait (Playback/Menus/Anything)
Tracker Mini locks up, emitting granular synth sound if it happens during playback.
Occurrence
*bug is reproducible *
Happens every time I boot up the 2.0 firmware, 1.0 and 1.1 seem to function properly.
while playing back the track (before and after the SD card formatting)
while listening for samples to chose (before the SD card formatting)
once during a project loading (before the formatting as well).
I will continue to play with it and will report if anything new pops up.
If anyone needs more info, feel free to ask and I’ll tell you.
Edit : since I am a newcomer, I also regularly ask the tracker for a blank project using the file manager, not saving the current one, if it is of any relevance.
Edit n#2 : just happend while I was scrolling up when playing back the tune I work on. Only 2 tracks yet. 1 drum synth on midi 16 (acting as a click) and a couple of stereo drum samples on track 1.
@clem3000 Thanks for reporting this issue.
We will investigate. Is it possible to attach the last project which caused the crash? Including all the samples that you used?
Just been running your project for 18 minutes while tweaking the beat piece by piece - like the groove btw - and haven’t encountered a crash yet.
How long would it usually take you say?
By the way you described it, it should probably have already happened?
I’ve noticed you wrote that you are runing 2.0.1 now?
So i’m guessing 2.0.1 Build 1061 ? How’s that going?
You also stated you were considering changing cards - did you end up doing that?
But no more crashes when it just “sits” there?
Based on the info we have and seeing that i can’t get it to crash on my end, even while fiddling around, it’ll be kinda hard to determine things based on the project alone.
If it doesn’t bother you all that much, i recommend keeping an eye out if you recognize any patterns when this happens and keep us up to date.
Or if it does bother you, you might want to get in touch with customer support directly, so they can check out the hardware itself (and reference this post of course).
