Tracker+ manual inconsistency: USB audio tracks

Page 215: “The USB Audio interface allows sending 14 stereo tracks: a master stereo track, eight stereo sample-based tracks, three synth instrument tracks, reverb and delay sends to a connected DAW or compatible audio device. Tracker+ can also receive USB Audio.”

Page 248: tracks 23-28 are listed as reserved. No mention of synth tracks.

Which one is it?

Hey @dave-1965  , welcome to Backstage!

It’s both

Channel 23 + 24 = Synth 1
Channel 25 + 26 = Synth 2
Channel 27 + 28 = Synth 3

It’s a mistake in the manual, thx for noticing.

Great!

The Play+ manual seems to have a similar bug it seems. Page 214 lists channels 21-24 as reserved.

Also do the Tracker+ and Play+ really output the synths and effects tracks in a different order? That seems needlessly confusing if you have both devices (as I’m about to do  ).

Finally, the render section of the Tracker+ (page 229-232) doesn’t mention the synths at all. Do they get rendered into .wav files too?
