Swing fx doesn't work in tracker mini

Bug Description

The swing fx doesn’t do anything. It should swing.

Reproduction Steps

  1. make a 4 step pattern
  2. add notes on 1 and 3
  3. add “I 75” to FX column 1 on step 3
  4. listen, the beat is perfectly even, should swing like a monkey

Occurrence

always, the fx “I” seems defunct.

Hi, this is correct behavior. Our Swing is designed with emphasis on Offbeats: This means that the even-numbered steps (2nd, 4th, 6th, etc.), are delayed or moved slightly later in time, while the odd-numbered steps (1st, 3rd, etc.) remain on the grid. That’s why you can’t hear a change following your repro steps. I suggest you try swinging the offbeats :wink: Thanks for your bug report and hope this answer helps. Oh, btw, you can make it “swing like a monkey” when using Tempo (T) FX and make it extra grooovy :sunglasses:

Ahm, I see. Tried it, works. I must have misunderstood the manual, as I was under the impression, that the “I” would work per row, now I see it’s sort of a status for the whole pattern. So if I want to treat a row as 16th but work with shuffling 8th, I have to use “m”.
