What is the problem?
When i send midi with my piano to the synth I noticed the sustain pedal has no effect 
What should this feature achieve?
The same as a normal sustain pedal, I press it, the note sustains, I release it, the note stops
Are there any workarounds?
None that I know of, I am investigating how to do it with ableton live, but no luck so far (Other plugins, synths DO recognize the message)
