Strange RED PAD on synth

When I was switching scenes on the Synth and listening to the sound possibilities, I noticed that in some scenes in some engines, the pad glows red after you release it. I didn’t notice this when I created a new empty scene. Any guesses as to what it might be?

Hey @okmiracle, welcome to Backstage!

Is there a chord mode on that pad / section?

Yes! I just discovered that after switching the chord modes in the grid settings, everything returned to normal and didn’t happen again. At least in the current scene.

I thought that this indicates that another engine is latched to the note of this synth?

Sorry but what if there is a chord mode CH PACK on that preset? Is it a problem with the sound and what do you have to do to put it right? I just bought the ARCOLOGY palette from Polyend and a number of the scenes are producing this red pad issue?

When you say switching the chord modes, what did you do? Did you turn the chord mode to an alternative setting, such as Note, CH Scale, Chord or Ch Pack?

I figured out what it is. It’s because when Ch-Pack mode is selected, the other synths adjust to the held note on the synth with Ch-Pack selected. Accordingly, the pad that lights up red is the note the other synths adjust to.

OK sure I get that, but is it somehow an “error” as some others here have indicated, or is it just the way the Polyend Synth behaves normally? Sorry but I’m asking as I’m new to the Synth myself and it’s not clear whether it’s part of its normal functioning or not?

I believe that what I described is normal and even convenient =)

OK thank you!
