Step midi clock jitter - anyone else experiencing this?

I’m experiencing som midi clock jitter out from the Polyend Step. When I connect the Step directly to a Morningstar Mc8pro the clock read on Mc8pro is stable, but if I connect the step directly to a Nome 1 (to create a click track), the display on the Nome 1 showing the tempo I constantly jumping one bpm up and down leading me to believe that there’s a problem with the midi clock out on the Step (like jitter). For fast BPMs is jumps very quickly and for slower tempo (like 30bpm) It’s slower and easier to see that it jumps between 30bpm and 31 bpm. I’ve attached a video on this.

Extra information:

  1. The Nome 1 is a master midi clock (that’s happy to work in slave) and more sensitive than the MC8pro (who might be calculating the difference and therefore not changing bpm).

  2. I’m connecting the Nome 1 by TRS 3,5 to TRS 6,3 and switching from B out to A in by using two TRS to 5pin Midi cables with and adapter/connector in the middle.
