Step Midi Clock In issues

I have an external device sending clock to my Mess which then sends clock on to my Step.

Mess receives clock fine, that’s to say if I send 100bpm from the external device, the delays, etc on Mess sound the same as if the internal clock was set to 100bpm.

The Step however behaves as if it is receiving clock at 200bpm.

I believe I have everything set up correctly. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Solved it already!

Thought I needed Clock Out set to jack on the Mess to send midi clock through to the Step.

Turns out it passes it through just fine set to Off.
