Solved: Unable to use SD card other than polyend supplied

SOLVED.

Bug Description

I have tried several SD cards - all formatted to FAT. I also tried the SD card in my og Tracker. The SD cards are all recognised in OG tracker but only the SD which came with the Tracker+ is usable. All others say “insert SD card to continue” or sthg like that. It then becomes unresponsive. Power cutoff is all that can be done. In the OG tracker if a card is not recognised, you can hotplug a replacement and it works. In the T+ it doesn’t.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Put an SD card in (128G, 256G)
2. Power on. Stand in amazement.
3. Eject the card.
4. replace it.
5. stand in further amazement.
6. Press power off button. Hold it. Hold it further…
7. Hard power off. Use original 16G card. It works.

Works here without problems. Sandisk extreme pro 128gb and 256gb.
Format it with the tool : Ridgecrop Consultants Ltd
Polyend recommends uhs1 u3 cards.

If you are on Windows 10/11, formatting bigger cards (32+ GB) to FAT32 can be a bit of a pain. Here’s a quick guide that will help you achieve this: Format the SD Card with the default Windows Formatter as exFAT (leave all default settings) Download the GUI version of fat32format here: Ridgecrop Consultants Ltd Click on the Picture to download it Convert / Format the card once more in that utility to FAT32 (leave all default settings)

I have done this and it is now recognising the card.

Confused as to why it worked ok on OG though.
