what kind of message should I send to STEP to get a start / stop ?
I tried MMC or sysex, no change, no impact.
It’s quite basic stuff!

Hey @cmonnier, sorry for the delayed response.
You don’t have to use any specific MIDI magic.
Make sure to enable:
MIDI → Transport In → Choose Jack or USB depending from where you receive MIDI Clock from
And that should be it.
The Step uses regular MIDI Start/Stop Transport messages.

I’m using an MC8 Pro midi device and can’t find which command then to send. I tried the MMC ones, but no effect.
If you can, then precise CC commands and codes, that would be helpful
I don’t have that device, but a quick glance at the manual seems to indicate that you need to setup a “Real Time” message.
