Samples on SD card Distorted

I am using the samples that are preloaded in the SD Card. When I add the .pti from the SD Card column to the Instruments list, it will sound completely distorted from what the preview was - almost like it has undergone a bunch of effects modulation. This is not only in preview but when I try to add the instrument to my patterns.

I attempted to upload a video demonstration but I cannot because I am a new user.

This is on the Polyend Tracker Plus.

Hey @jennifer.stott  , welcome to the community

That does sound odd indeed. I just bumped up your user level so you should be able to upload a file if it’s small enough.

If not, please try and share it via something like Dropbox, Google Drive or even Youtube.

File was too big, so here’s an unlisted YouTube link.

Thank you!

Hello, okay I see the issue here. You are loading the .pti file not a .wav file. The preview will only preview the raw sample without added effects, the .pti file will load with all the additional changes to the instrument parameters including reverbs, delay sends, envelopes etc. So the .pti file you loaded sounds like it has the bitcrusher engaged, the 2nd pti file has the LFO volume on perhaps. Does that make sense?

This makes sense to me. I will look at this later and get back to you. Thanks for the help!

No problem. I understand how that could be confusing!
