What is the problem?
This isn’t a problem, but another suggestion for a rudimentary sample playback engine. An engine that allows the end-user to have multiple one-shot samples for playback.
What should this feature achieve?
Pull up a one-shot sampler engine, press a key, select a sample. Maybe allow for attack/decay option on screen, maybe a filter on that screen. Press another key, get the same option, place another sample in it.
That’s it. It would make for a fun little sample playback device. No sequencing, nothing else, just play back a sample. By hand. Good for triggering one-shot samples like drums or SFX, whatever. Play a little beat with your fingers, record it into a looper, or create a clicks/pops little noisy layer with it.

It’d be like the Pocket Operator drum machine, without a sequencer. Just playback of one-shot samples.
