Sample playback cursor does not react to current sample change

Bug Description

If samples are switched when on the “Sample Playback” screen it will show the waveform of the currently selected sample but the playback position cursor is from another sample if one is still playing. This happens when you preview a sample with a long ADSR release (e.g. 10 seconds) and during the preview/playback you switch to another sample.
The expected behaviour would be to either stop the playback of previous sample as soon as the current sample is changed OR simply hide the playback cursor if the current sample did not initiate the preview. See my video for better explanation.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Load a long sample or make a short sample loop
  2. On the “Instrument Automation” screen set ADSR release to max
  3. Go to “Sample Playback”, play the sample
  4. While the sample is playing switch to any other sample
  5. Waveform display is correct but the playback cursor is from the previous and currently still playing sample

Occurrence / Frequency

Always
