repeat types and grids (how many repeats) are nice tools for faster workflow but its not possible to create or delete repeat types and grids to personalize the users device .
What do you want to achieve?
The ability to customize repeat types and grids and sort the directory for faster and more personalized experience
Are there any workarounds?
instead of using repeats that dont exist the user can program everything by myself to the sequencer

This has been on my mind as well. The one thing that I think the Play and Play+ is really missing for that ultra-IDM sound is accelerating/decelerating repeats–for example, like the infamouns Bucephalus Bouncing Ball by Aphex Twin (link for simplicity). The only instrument I’m aware that already contains this is Izotope Break Tweaker.
On that note, it might be useful to have a checklist of some sort to enable/disable the repeats that are activated by Chance (and maybe this could apply to other things activated by Chance as well) just because some of the options might not be rhythmically compatible with the song you’re working on. I think a good place for that would be in its own folder directly in the Menu.
Just something to think about! It’s been on my mind for a while, and I didn’t think it quite justified its own wish
Thanks for the wish @prehmuss83. So I understand that you’d like the ability to create custom repeats, but I don’t quite follow what you mean by “grids”. Could you please clarify?
Ok, totally get what you mean. Would you be Ok if I make an attempt to reword this wish to make it easier to understand for the Polyend Team? We can always revert it back to what you wrote if you’re not happy with my rewording.

i read some wishes from other users and a lot of them wish slice mode and arppegiator and loop play and i think that all these functions could be realized to some point with customisable repeat types and grids .
so . so for slicing its just the start and endpoint of the steps in a repeattype pattern and i think that they could be set in % , so its relative and as long as you want to slice up a loop it should work on any speed of any loop ,but just in steps and not in transients but thats ok . better than integrate a slicer to a machine that has no buttons left for slicer and so you would get many submenus and shift buttons .
an arp is also possible cuz the notes in that repeat pattern are also relative to the note of the step right? like the , octave, preset …
and for loops its the same like with slices
. hope you can understand what i mean with my bad in english expression skills
That’s called exponential rhythm I believe.
Yeah, would be nice to have adjustable curves on repeat grid so time division of repeats is not linear like it’s implemented in Bitwig Studio.
