Just taken delivery of a new Mess and just out of interest it seems to have undergone a bit of a redesign which seems more in line with the aesthetic of the Endless. Gone is the gorgeous brushed aluminium, the black body, the full width black banded section on the front, the Polyend name from the top left and it seems to have inherited the stomp switches from the Endless rather than the Play or Step. Not complaining but it does bugger up the consistency when say next to the Step! Anyone at Polyend can chip in with the reasons for the redesign as it was bloody perfect already

Very interesting. My MESS is the exact same design as the Step. In fact it’s the first time I see that version of the Mess. I believe PE goes through hardware revisions at times. The Tracker has gone through a couple of revisions as well.

Yeah the packaging was also an eco friendly brown cardboarding rather than the colourful boxes the Step, Mini and Synth came in but maybe it’s always been that way…
As far as i know this is the new design language going forward. So yeah, it‘s just a body revision. Same guts as the other MESS‘es , just slightly sleeker body.

not that I plan to ever get a polyend product, the new facelift seems much sleeker looking. they did a good job on the industrial design aspect of the boxes.
surprises me anyone prefers the brushes alum.
