Random Sample action has a bias towards the last sample in a folder

Bug Description

The Random Sample chance action picks the last sample from a sample folder much more often than other samples from the folder. My testing shows that from a folder that contains 10 samples the last sample gets played approx. 40 times out of 100. Sometimes the last sample gets triggered up to six times in a row or even more.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a sample folder with a few samples that sound quite different so it’s easier to distinguish betwen them by ear.
  2. Put a step with any sample from the folder, Chance = Always, Action = Rnd Sample.
  3. Start playback and listen.

Occurrence / Frequency

always

Found in Firmware

  • Version: 1.1.0
  • Build: 1708

The issue definitely didn’t arrive with this particular version as I’ve noticed it way before. Cannot say on which exact revision I encountered it for the first time. Probably it even was the OG Play.
