When holding a step or variation, multiple destinations may be pressed sequentially to make multiple copies of the source.
While holding a pattern, only the first destination pattern becomes a copy of the source pattern. Subsequent presses of other patterns simply ignores the held source pattern and instead just selects the last pressed pattern as the active pattern.
Steps to Reproduce
Hold a selected source pattern until it blinks
Press selected destination to copy the source
The Source is correctly copied to the destination
While still holding the source pattern press another intended destination
The source is not copied to the destination. The latest pattern pressed is simply selected as the active pattern
Hey there @Random_Sample thanks for taking the time to write this out. It’s easily reproducible and actually goes against what is documented in the manual;
Quick Copy: Note that quick copy can operate for steps, step pages, Patterns and Variations. Quick copy is performed by keep holding the source [Pad] for about half a second + Press [Pad] for any destination pads. Pads will flash blue twice when copied to the clipboard and when pasted.
Yeah, I checked the manual first to make sure I wasn’t complaining about a design decision. I knew it was a bug when I found that Quick Copy works fine with Variations but not Patterns.
Now if we can get a pattern block copy feature along with this fix that would be awesome!
