I noticed with "Polyend Trackers, while saving a project under some given name, you have to do it twice :: once for the folder name and once for the actual project name, which for me is usually the same name. I wish I only had to save the project once under some name and the folder name would also automatically be created for me. Is there a workaround for this or am I missing something?
I have the Tracker+ and to me it seems projects already are saved as directories?
So if I save as “blah” then it will create a directory “blah” that contains a “project.mt” file along with all resources used by that project (instruments, patches, …). No need to create a second directory with the same name on top.
Thanks for the reply! Wow, I’ll have to look at this on my SD cards to see just exactly, what it is, I’m doing.
The one thing that does seem to be missing for me is to avoid typing the name at all when saving over an existing project. Because in navigation mode you can only “enter” the directory you can not “select” it as the project directory for “Save As…”. So on “Save” project it will overwrite current name and on “Save As…” you always have to retype the new name. This is a bit inconvenient for occasional quick backup of “myproject” as “myproject2” before trying some larger change.
If you press the right hand arrow on the Tracker, it will bring the cursor to the end of the file name
