Has anyone tried an EWI with the Polyend synth? I’m interested in getting one for that exact reason. Many manuals don’t include anything about breath control, but it is CC2. I couldn’t find anything in the manual and I’m not in a place to try one.
Is there a device mod matrix that allows control of parameters via midi CC?
Thanks in advance
Hey @nathanhook7, the Synth actually has a huge list of possible midi CC parameters that you could control.
You can find a full list of MDI CC Numbers in the manual. Section 8.8 MIDI CC Mapping.
Hope that helps.
I did see that in the manual. I guess what I’m asking is if those MIDI parameters can be mapped to a macro which in turn can be mapped to MIDI CC2? That’s how I’ve been able to use the EWI with synths like the Korg wave state
Ah i see what you mean.
- Yes, up to 5 parameters can be mapped to macros.
- Velocity and Aftertouch function as macros as well, which would probably ideal for you.
Now the one thing that is currently not possible (atleast from what i can tell), is to map a macro to react to a certain MIDI CC.
Could you tell the EWI to send velocity or aftertouch instead of CC 2?
What midi CC is after touch? I don’t see that anywhere in the manual. I do believe the EWI can send other CC#s with breath, but I need to double check. Velocity is a separate control. It looks like CC74 is filter cutoff in these engines so that may do the trick.
You got a specific model that i could look up the manual for? Then i might be able to help a bit more
