MIDI transport start/stop will only work with a single pattern. Is there a MIDI method which would trigger Song mode? This allows the Play to accompany a sequencer not limited to 64 beats.
Is there a work-around or something I haven’t considered?

If you set the MIDI transport and clock to MIDI Jack, then hit the Shift Play buttons, you get a “No external MIDI clock” message. THEN when your external device provides clock, the Song Mode executes. Wonderful.
