Mess 1.1.0 has officially launched and adds the following changes and features.

NEW FEATURES

  • Master Volume Master Control
    • Use the settings knob on the Main Screen for master volume control.
  • Individual Track Mutes
    • Hold down the Tempo Encoder and press a Track Number button to Mute/Unmute a Track.
    • Mute Track Indications: Muted track buttons and parameters are white, and a lowercase m is displayed underneath the effect icon on the main screen.
    • Mute states reset when loading a new effect

FIXES

  • External MIDI Clock and transport triggered the micro looper without sequenced steps
  • Midi CC & expression pedal actions switched the current screen display
  • Changing the Effect to “Off” kept the Effect Gain settings
  • The Expression Pedal menu was labeled Next/Previous Pattern instead of Preset
  • Pads occasionally lit up while switching tracks

Mess Firmware

  1. Download and extract the firmware above
  2. Copy the .pmf firmware file to your Mess SD card → Firmware folder
  3. Best Practice: Save your current Preset and back up your SD card to avoid any potential data loss
  4. On the Mess main screen, click Settings, navigate to Firmware → Update Firmware → .pmf file
  5. Click the encoder to start the firmware update.
  6. After the update, open a new preset to initialize the config settings

Thanks! Is there anything new from beta? I was hoping sequencer fix or work around :frowning:

Btw the firmware file from the website seems to have retained the beta file name. Just saying so you guys can fix it.

It’s the same as beta #2. Firmware file was updated earlier today, thanks!

I have downloaded the new Mess firmware, unzipped it, and copied the .pmf file to the Firmware folder on the SD card (the card that came with the Mess). I navigate to Settings>Firmware>Update Firmware but the Mess does not see the new 1.1.0.pmf file. I know the card is good as it’s what I’ve been using this entire time. I have re-downloaded the file twice and tried to update a dozen times.

Anyone have any ideas? Am I doing something wrong?

I have the same issue…..no solution yet….

It should work now, was a Mac issue only. Be sure you don’t upload one with a number after the .pmf like “polyendmess_1.1.0.pmf 2” as pictured, it won’t show up on the Mess.
