When running my Play+ through a Walrus Audio Qi pedal, the master volume randomly ticks down on its own. I’ve confirmed it ONLY does this when the output is connected to the pedal. I’m fairly confident it isn’t an encoder issue (unless it’s indirectly related) because the problem only occurs when the pedal is connected.
Has anyone seen this weirdness?
No I’ve never run into anything like that before. Is it the pedal or Play that has the master volume ticking down? If it’s the Play, do you see the actual value of the volume changing on the screen?
Also are we talking audio through the pedal, or MIDI?
It’s on the Play+ and yes, I could see the value changing. It was acting like a faulty encoder but it’s rock solid if the pedal is disconnected. Anyway, I ground-isolated the connection between and it stopped happening. My best guess is ground interference with the encoders.
It never seizes to amaze me what weird things can happen with gear sometimes

Yeah that is pretty wild. Never heard of that with Polyend gear, or any other gear for that matter. Awesome that you had knowledge to identify the issue and solve it!
