What is the problem?
USB Audio output for the Play+ is sometimes unstable, stalls/crashes intermittently. Happens often enough that it makes the Play+ USB Audio risky to rely on for gigs.
The setup is prone to variables like computer OS changes, software changes.
Unable to send separate audio tracks from Play+ to mixer without involving a computer
A simple, dedicated hardware breakout box for the Play+ (and maybe other devices like Tracker etc) would solve this. (maybe like a smaller version of the Elektron Outbox)
What should this feature achieve?
I wish to output separate stems of audio from the Play+
1 x USB-C > 8 audio jacks (or minijacks for portability)
It would also need to be able to charge the Play+ at the same time
Are there any workarounds?
Not yet tried the Elektron Outbox for this, apparently it is class-compliant
