Hi everyone,
I have a Polyend Play+. Sometimes, but not always, I hear a click sound at the beginning of a bar.
When it happens, there’s a kick, hi-hats, background noise, and synths playing together. As for the mix: the master is set to -12 dB, the kick to -5 dB, the bass to -7 dB, hi-hats to -12 dB, the limiter where the kick hits to -18 dB, and synths to -1 dB.
I’ve lowered the volume on the synths, increased the attack time for all these tracks, and used micromovement to shift them slightly. I’m also using a limiter and sidechaining for track 1 (the kick). The bass doesn’t hit on the first beat at all, so that’s not the issue.
As I mentioned, it doesn’t happen all the time, just occasionally - mostly when a synth (fat, acd, wtfm) kicks in. Increasing the attack and using micromovement doesn’t seem to help much here.
Maybe it’s because I have reverb on the synths (25%), background noise (4%), and hi-hats (3%), plus a delay on the synths (15%). However, I really need those effects there.
I should add that when everything was in a single pattern while I was jamming, I managed to fix the issue. But as soon as I started arranging the track across multiple patterns, the clicking noise came back.
Does anyone have any ideas? I’d really appreciate any advice!
