Bug Description
I planned to extensively use Performance Mode feature when each track can play different pattern.
Initially it works well, Tracker+ plays custom arrangement. When I need to edit pattern, I’m going over to Pattern screen, editing some notes here and there. When returning back to Performance mode, all tracks have last visited pattern number assigned.
The issue doesn’t occur, when I’m opening Mixer, but i does when I go to Pattern/Song Mode/File menu. The problem exists when tracks have different length and when are the same length
This problem makes it impossible to modify patterns while playing and adds friction to creative process. Also undesirable for Live performance situations.
I observed this bug on two PT+ devices with the same latest firmware so it is not quirk of one device
Steps to Reproduce
- Create new empty project
- Create 3 patterns of 32steps length
- Put some sample on Track 1 in Pattern 1
- Put some sample on Track 2 in Pattern 2
- Put some sample on Track 3 in Pattern 3
- Go over to Performance mode and configure tracks in such a way:
track1 has Pattern 1 assigned
track2 has Pattern 2 assigned
track3 has Pattern 3 assigned - Open File screen or Pattern screen
- Return to Performance screen
- patterns for tracks are set to the last visited pattern number
