What is the problem?
So the below is something I’m saying as … ‘pedantic’ thingies Polyend might take into account for a future update ? ![]()
What should this feature achieve?
/**** Hitting button [Song]
One have to stop playing the »song« in order to ‘jump’ to another »pattern«
- maybe there’s reasons for that decision ?
I kinda ‘struggled’ to figure out I had to stop playing the »song« - I intuitively expected I could use [arrow-up] & [arrow-down] to move to another »pattern« being played while the »song« were playing
/**** Some inconsistencies ? - the text on 1. screen / 2. screen etc.
I like when hitting button [File] and then [Open] etc. that the text in the top change to »File - Open« »File - etc.«
? So [Master] should be;
- Master 1/3
- Master 2/3 - Track Mixer
- Master 3/3 - Global Mixer
instead of; - Master 1/3
- Track Mixer 2/3
- Global Mixer 3/3
And going into the various »Effects« on »Master 1/3« reads
- Master Reverb etc.
instead of - Master 1/3 - Reverb etc.
it is a bit confusing that it ‘locks’ to e.i. the [reverb] (even one re-hits [Master] or another button) & one have to hit [back] to go to the main »Master 1/3« - that’s different than [Sample editor] + [Select effect] were it doesn’t lock
(most buttons lock to return to the same read upon returning back ?)
So having mentioned [Sample Editor] it’s a bit the same as with [Master] ? reading
- Sample Editor 1/2
but hitting [Select effect] then reads - Sample Editor Normalizer etc.
And [Instrument Parameters] also have 2 different reads on 1/2 versus 2/2
and hitting [More] on 1/2 yields it to swap to [Back] instead of [More] ? just like the 3 screens in [Pattern] runs [More] for all 3
/****
I don’t know … maybe I misunderstood a few things ?
It do seem to me there’s some mismatch in conventions ? ![]()
- as some »buttons« didn’t confuse me were others THEN did because it didn’t felt ‘right’ not matching all together - At least I think so …
