What is the problem?
Right now it seems the only way we can do panning is by using a panning effect and take a slot or slots to do it.
What should this feature achieve?
Adding panning or some sort of stereo option to each effect type would drastically make MESS be a lot better if we’re using it in stereo setup mode. To me it makes totally sense to add these options to every effect so if we want +30 of a chorus or any other effect type to be panned to the right and 70 to the left, we should have control over it etc.
Are there any workarounds?
Only to use panning effect which uses up slots.

Tons of multi-effect units have some sort of panning or stereo options for effects.
