Hey, here’s OpenTracker, a community firmware for the original Polyend Tracker (not the Mini or Tracker+ for now).

Everything’s on https://opentracker-fw.github.io: downloads, release notes, the manual and checksums.

2.2.3 (stable)
The one to use if you’re making music with it day to day. It has 16 tracks, three synth slots (ACD, FAT, VAP, WTFM and PERC), stereo samples, Mini project files, USB storage mode, live resampling, streaming samples from the card, colour themes and MIDI pitch bend. It also comes with a preset pack, some test songs, 12 themes and a full PDF manual.

3.0.0 (preview, still in testing)
v3 comes in four flavours. Each one is the same firmware with a different set of synths and effects:

  • Techno: drum kit synth, acid, basses, stabs, drive/bitcrush and a tempo-synced echo
  • IDM: FM, wavetable FM, drums and acid
  • Classic: analog-style pads, basses and duophonic leads, plus tape
  • Retro: four chip-style synths with fast chiptune arps and a LoFi effect on the whole mix

It’s a preview, so don’t trust it with a project you can’t lose, and back up your card first.

Installing: drop the .ptf into /Firmware on the SD card (don’t rename it), then go to Config > Firmware update. To go back to stock, install it the same way.

Found a bug? Post it on the issue tracker or here in the thread, not to Polyend support. Tell me which image you’re on and what happened; a photo or short video helps a lot.

Want to help? The 2.x source is on GitHub. Fork it and send a pull request, all help is welcome.

This is a community project, not affiliated with or supported by Polyend.

Have fun, and let me know what you make with it!
