For those of you wanting to creating your own wavetables, this online tool is one of my favorites, been using it for a while, with both Renoise and Ableton.
It can create single cycle waveforms AND wavetables. the ‘nWaveform’ slider allows the end-user to make up to 1000 waveforms. 256 as a single-cycle works great with the Polyend Synth. Here’s how to do it!
- Under ‘Render’ and ‘Duration [sample]’ put in 256 instead of 2048
- Under ‘nWaveform’ put in 4
- On the far-right of the screen, under ‘Automation’, select ‘Sine Shaper’
- In the center-top of the screen, under ‘Shape’, drag the slider ‘Sine Shaper’ from left to right. You’ll see the shape of the wavetable change smoothly and each cycle will be different from the one before it.
- Going back to the left side of the screen, hit ‘Save’ and your waveform will be saved as a .wav file wherever your browser saves files.
