Note preview - when we add notes in the piano roll. When pressing pad, should play “note” as long as it is being held, based on the note length/sample end. See other sequencers such as deluge for this.
What is the problem?
Can’t hear note when entering on piano roll
What do you want to achieve?
To be able to hear the note when you enter it in on piano roll
Are there any workarounds?
Yes you can add note, then hold and turn note knob to hear preview. But this is when you change the note.
Also you can hold knob and press note after it’s been added
Yes! I second this. I love the new firmware update but I think it really is vital to be able to hear the notes you’re inputting as you go, within piano roll.
Also - not a huge deal but - in regards to midi tracks, it would be nice if you could see on the piano roll, the notes that are being triggered if you happen to be playing with an external midi keyboard. This already occurs when you’re in midi track mode and viewing the regular piano key mode (the 4 columns to the right light up with the notes you’re playing on a midi controller). Nice for when you’re playing chords or a melody on the keyboard and then you want to put it into the sequencer and have a quick reference of where the notes are being lit up in piano roll.
Love this idea and also was one that felt this was missing. May I suggest having this as a Setting in the Options menu that could be toggled on or off globally? For live playing, can be very convenient to not have the note preview.

Agree. I don’t want my note placements sounding while I’m performing but if I’m just writing/building it seems like a great idea to have!
I was just about to bring this up. After figuring out how the Tracker works, I realized this feature is definitely missing. It would be great if, when selecting a sample, the pads would play the sample’s sound at different pitches when pressed.
