I received my Mini last week, and this is my first Polyend device, so bear with me if something has changed, but I didn’t see that to be the case. The firmware that came with the Mini was 2.0.2, and everything worked as intended.
I upgraded to the 2.2.1 firmware for new features, but now the Note input does not show up. The Shift+Note feature does properly display the 8-note section and selection capabilities, but simply pressing Note does not open the main note window. Next, I tried installing the 2.2.0 firmware, but I encountered the same issue. However, rolling back to 2.0.2 resolved the issue, allowing it to display normally, albeit with the obvious loss of new features.
I’ve tried switching themes, fonts, resetting configs, and new projects with no luck in getting the Note window to work with the latest firmware.
Steps to Reproduce
Received new Tracker Mini with 2.0.2 Build 1138
Upgraded firmware to 2.2.1 Build 1518
Attempted downgrade to 2.2.0 Build 1504
All features appear to work (while I’m still learning the device), minus the primary Note window, which only works on the original 2.0.2 firmware.
Thank you for the warm welcome! To be sure, I just downloaded the latest 2.2.1 firmware again and flashed with the same result. I also checked and the build number is the same as what I had before.
Yep! I just took a new SD card, and downloaded the SD archive to see if that would fix it too. Same issue. Again tried a new project, different themes, fonts, and cleared the config. If I hold the Note button down, no window with notes pops up. If I hold Shift+Note then the 8 notes keys shows up and pressing Note will let me choose the set of 8. But if I go back to selecting single notes, holding the Note button down doesn’t show the note selection window. Happy to send a video or anything else needed to troubleshoot.
Actually, it’s not a bug – in the new firmware, the only way to access the note selection is by using SHIFT + NOTE to enter Note Input Mode. The old method (just pressing or holding NOTE) is no longer available, it has been removed since the release of version 2.1.0.
This change is part of the updated firmware, which brings new features and improvements. We recommend staying on the latest firmware for the best experience, even though the workflow is now different.
