What is the problem?
When we are in the piano roll i need to use the knobs to edit a note. Sometimes i miss the knob or i need to look which one is activated, or i need to double tap the knob and i need to look screen all the time. Knobs are sometimes too sensitive and sometimes are less… Its a kinda clumsy workflow and i need to focus on lots of things, not just on how to make a melody.
What should this feature achieve?
Note edit mode would be much better, faster and enjoyable workflow. When we are in the piano roll (midi sequencer) we can activate Edit mode. The last 4 columns on the right would be: velocity, step/note length, probability (chance-play step) and midi cc (predefined). So velocity column would have 8 buttons in a vertical row. The values would be 12,5%, 25%, 37,5%, 50%, 62,5%, 75%, 87,5% and 100%. We could just press and hold the step and change the value on the right. We could still do precise editing with the knobs if we need to. Copy step function in this mode is disabled with holding a step, it would be possible with the button Copy/Paste
