Needing clarification regarding encoder change

I’ve finally gotten to the point where I’m gonna replace the jogwheel encoder. However, the images in the pdf do not match up with how my Tracker looks.

In the pdf shows a “Polyend Tracker Control v4”, and I have a v3. Should I remove all the screws despite the pcb’s looking different?

The answer, for anyone wondering, is yes: remove the tape and screws.
