Mute Steps without sacrifying a FX-slot

What is the problem?

Dry signal in non-activated steps always on.

What should this feature achieve?

Silence at non-activated steps.

Are there any workarounds?

Sacrify a FX-slot and eg. use a closed filter on those steps. Idea: FX-Volume and dry/Wet parameter in per-step-menue would help.

Maybe something like:

“Step Gate Mode” (hypothetical)

Per track toggle:

-Trigger mode (current)

-Gate mode (new)

In Gate mode:

-No step = silence

-Step = audio + effect
