Moving away from pattern screen removes queued pattern

I have no idea why this is allowed surely it’s a bug?!

If you queue another pattern to start after the current one has finished. But before the queue happens you leave the pattern screen to apply performance effects or to tweak the volume/mix on master page. It forget and just stays on the current pattern. ?!?! This is so frustrating and weird it makes the performance effects useless. And the sequencer useless. It should do what it’s told not immediately forget as soon as you leave the screen? Very weird and kinda stupid it’s like this, feels like beta.

When cueing a pattern in pattern mode (Hold down pattern and left/right arrow), the cue loses focus if you enter Performance Mode

Bug Description If you cue up a pattern using Hold Pattern and left/right arrows and go into performance mode, it keeps the cue engaged until you go back to your pattern, and then ignores the cue on the next loop, despite that it still appears engaged. Steps to Reproduce Have a project ready with 2 patterns available set at 64 steps so you have time to switch between the 2. Even if you only go to the master screen or any other screen it forgets the que it’s insane. How could anyone think that’s finished? It’s doing my head in. I can’t set up a que then tweak the levels, or add a performance. If you leave the pattern screen it forgets everything.

Yeah I can’t say either way. The manual doesn’t explicitly say how that should interact when leaving the pattern page. Ideally I agree that it should retain the pattern cue.

To say it makes performance effects useless is such hyperbole I don’t know where to begin
Saying things are weird and stupid doesn’t really help with community engagement either. I promise if you tone it down a bit, you’ll have more people that engange with your posts.

I get your frustration and you are entitled to it, (I totally agree with you on this issue). I just see either myself, or a company much more wanting to engage in conversations with arm open rather than conversations that begin with attacks (weird, stupid, useless for example).

totally agree. these weird limitations look like theyre in place to cripple the logical operation of this device and for what? there is no sane reason. its ridiculous.

are we here looking for social engagement? i think not.

It’s literally been years and they have done updates and never addressed some of the biggest problems or has. Still can’t copy and paste data from a sampler track to a midi track. Weird.

to be fair they did address some important things. this one is the ‘other’ big missed one. honestly its not that important to me with song mode, which is dead easy on this device.. but it would be nice!

Tried song mode and as soon as you start to edit something out just loops that one pattern right? I’m trying to use for live improvisation maybe not the best for that
