What is the problem?
The noise option is incredibly loud even at 1%. I understand it may be part of the waveform shaping process, but it really stands out even at the lowest setting. I’m using it as a simple ‘cassette noise’ lofi effect, but 1% starts it immediately at “junk cassette” territory, where it could be more subtle.
It would be nice to start at say, .25% of the noise, for a really delicate 'brand new expensive Sony 80s cassette recorder", and use an exponential curve (or larger exponential curve), to adjust the level of noise.
What should this feature achieve?
A more delicate form of noise for more mature lofi settings. Not everything has to go immediately to “junk cassette”.
