More Filter Types

What is the problem?

Currently we have the essential of low-pass, high-pass and band-pass. But it would be nice to have more filter types options.

Comb filter was rejected, due to “technical limitations” thought devices like Blofeld which are nearly 20 years older can do it. The Tracker Plus is using newer technology, than the standard of 20 years ago, yes?

What should this feature achieve?

Some of these filters added would be nice!

Example:
Low-Pass 48 dB
Low-Pass 24 dB
Low-Pass 12 dB
Notch
Band-stop
Comb Filter

Maybe even some that can emulate the PPG-filter [Blofeld] or Ladder-filter… [Nord Lead A1 and A4]

Are there any workarounds?

Comb Filter option

Sorry, maybe i was not clear the way i wrote it. I DO mean sample instruments. It would be cool to have the filter models that are available to the synth instruments also for the sample instruments (including a newly added comb filter). For simplicity sake i will create a new wish for that… and proceed with this one specifically for the comb filter

Any references to other products?

Am I missing any interesting filter types for the list?

If it was possible to take the filters from the synth engines. I’d like to see all of the ones available to VAP for example.

The main issue i see here is compatibility. Most likely changing how filters work for sample instruments would break compatibility with the OG Tracker. As i doubt it would be able to handle it.
