More destructive processing options Eg. cut and paste, frequency shift, etc

The list of processes in the destructive sample editor is not as complete as Tracker’s competitors. I find myself missing many of the options I am used to.

What is the problem?

Tracker lacks many destructive editing options from the MPC and other samplers.

What do you want to achieve?

  • Ability to insert silence at the start a sample (because there is no track offset)
  • Copy/Pasting parts of a sample (default editing functions you’d be used to from a sample editor)
  • frequency shift a drum sound in order to tune the fundamental without affecting the highs as much.

Are there any workarounds?

Not without stopping the session to edit the samples on my computer.

Any links to related discussions?

No.

Any references to other products?

MPC, Digitakt, Octatrack, etc.

Reversing a Sample is already possible in the Sample Editor.

Also please avoid using “I” sentences when creating wishes. Try and generalize them to a more generic usecase / need. Thank you

I’ve taken the liberty to update your text a little bit. Hope that’s ok.
