Mini safest USB charger

Hi! This is my first post to the forum. I browsed for the answer to my question but couldn’t find a specific one.

What is the objectively safest way to charge the mini?

I know, I know. “The Original Brick And Cable”.

However, as I am currently awaiting a replacement from Thomann because my unit got burnt by the original set (it was a b-stock, but still) and I fell in love with this thing and really want to use it for a long time, I am becoming increasingly paranoid. My question to all you lovely people who understand usb charging is: would a hi end Anker brick and C-to-C cable be the safest bet?

Hey @deepri.me , welcome to Backstage!

The Mini (and other Trackers) have very low power needs (5V 1A).
So you should be perfectly fine with your Anker brick.
Cablewise, C to C will do fine. A to C is totally fine as well.

Here’s a non exhaustive list of power supplies i’ve used so far

  • A simple samsung phone charger
  • Apple Powerbricks
  • USB powerbanks
  • USB Hubs
  • Multi-Output USB Chargers

I think Sandroid’s answer is probably the safe bet.

I’ll add a note on what to avoid:

  • Ikea usb c chargers → I had issues with one of those :sob:
